There are several alternatives to standard community title. These alternatives include–
- Standard freehold subdivision with local authority management of the physical infrastructure through a benefited land rating scheme.
- Standard freehold subdivision with restrictive land covenants over each title
- Standard freehold subdivision with owners agreeing to become members of a voluntary incorporated association
- Company title where members are shareholders
- Leasehold title where the crown or an owner over members are long leaseholders
- Hybrids of the above
