Living in Strata operates through the Stewart Silver King and Burns Group (the SSKB Group). The SSKB Group consists of a number of companies which are closely associated and offer a wide range of services including administration and management of bodies corporate, property management and maintenance services, merchandising (product sales and service), electricity supply services and accounting for property owners.

What is personal information?
Personal information is any information about you that identifies you or by which your identity is apparent or can be reasonably determined. This information may include information or an opinion about you from a third party.
What do we collect and why do we collect it?
There will be situations in which it is necessary for us to collect information about individuals. We collect and hold personal information such as names, addresses, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers. The types of purposes for which we collect information about individuals include the following:

- allowing people to share their experiences with fellow members on our forum
- sending our updates, newsletters and promotional emails to members

What about 'cookies'?

We make limited use of cookies on our website for the purposes of tailoring our web pages to your needs. We do not match cookies to your registration details and we do not use cookies to track your movements after leaving this website. Gossip versus Privacy
One of the best things about the Living in Strata community is that everyone is keen to share their views and experiences with others. (If you don't believe us, just check out the posts on the Forum.) We welcome your contributions, but remember, what's 'gossip' to you may deserve 'privacy' in someone else's eyes. So please respect the privacy of others. If you want to include information about yourself we'll take it that you understand how our services work and are happy for that information to be shared. If you are unhappy that personal information about you has been included on one of our boards, please let us know. Where reasonable and possible we will remove that information at the next practical opportunity.
Who do you tell?
We may share personal information amongst companies in the SSKB family. We may also disclose that information to our business partners who assist us in providing services. By giving us personal information through the Living in Strata website or communicating with us, you acknowledge and agree to our use of your data on a global basis, but if you have any concerns about this please let us know.
From time to time we may use your personal information to provide you with marketing information about our range of products, changes to our organisation, new products or other services being offered by us or any organisation we are associated with. Our usual method of contact will be by mail or email, however we may also telephone you in certain cases.
If you do not wish to receive any marketing information let us know
Unless you have specifically agreed to our doing so, we will not disclose your personal information to a non-associated party for the purposes of allowing them to direct market their products or services to you.
Online newsletters and updates
You want to sign up to a newsletter but you're worried it'll open the floodgates of spam. If you're concerned about privacy, here's what we will and won't do if you sign up with us.
Living in Strata collects your email address so we can send you newsletters and the updates you've subscribed to. You have the option to unsubscribe by clicking the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of the newsletter.
Sleep easy, we will not sell your email address to marketing companies for spamming. But we may need to disclose your email address amongst companies in the SSKB family.
You can manage your notification and update your email address through either your profile page or Notifications page at any time.
Feedback
If you're wondering what happens now that we have your comments and information, here's what goes down.
By submitting feedback, you may be supplying Living in Strata with 'personal information'. We collect this information so that we can use your comments to improve our products. We might edit, reproduce or incorporate your comments in other SSKB Group products, such as handbooks, websites and digital products, so let us know if you don't want your comment reproduced or your name acknowledged. If you're giving feedback within our online communities, please respect the privacy of others.
Safety and Security of your personal information
The safety and security of your personal information is a priority for us. We will take all reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure by storing it in a secure environment and allowing access only to authorised persons. However when using our web site, you acknowledge that no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure and that we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us over the Internet. Living in Strata is keen to share the views and experiences of others but if you are unhappy that personal information about you has been included in one of our publications, please let us know. Where reasonable and possible we will remove that personal information at the next practical opportunity.
You generally have a right to access the personal information Living in Strata holds about you (although there are exceptions). For Living in Strata services you can access your registration and keep your personal information up to date online.
